We’ll be operating enhanced security measure this year. We work closely with West Midlands Police, G4S security staff and venue security teams to keep the Conference safe for delegates. Your full co-operation with police, security staff and stewards will reduce any delays on site.
West Midlands Police will be conducting Project Servator patrols in and around the conference footprint and wider City Centre. Project Servator uses specially trained high visibility and plain clothes officers to provide a reassuring presence and build a network of vigilance which makes it difficult for criminals to operate. Deployments are made up of a range of police resources which can include police dogs, armed police officers, CCTV operators and security staff, CCTV and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition). Project Servator patrols are easily identifiable and WMP encourage conference delegates to engage with the officers who will be talking to people about the operation; and ask that delegates report any suspicious activity or behaviour to police or security staff.
