Our Conference proved it: Britain can have a stronger economy and stronger borders. But we need to act now.
In Manchester at our Party Conference, we showed something Britain hasn’t seen for too long: a party with the backbone to tell the truth, the plan to fix our country, and the team to deliver it. Because let’s be honest, Britain has been drifting. Labour’s weak leadership has left us with higher taxes, weaker borders, and falling confidence in our institutions. They had a playbook to win power, but no plan for what to do with it.
So we've set out a better way. A serious, credible Conservative plan built on our values:
Every part of this plan has been built by people who know their brief, share our values, and are ready to govern.
My golden economic rule only works because Mel Stride and Helen Whately identified savings and tax cuts to grow our economy.
David Wolfson and Chris Philp worked out how we control our borders and leave the ECHR legally, safely and securely.
Robert Jenrick set out measures to end Two Tier Justice, and Laura Trott outlined how we will improve behaviour in schools.
Claire Coutinho’s Cheap Power Plan cuts bills for every household and Andrew Griffith’s plans to scrap red tape and cut business rates will help businesses all over the country.
Every shadow cabinet member played a part and I am grateful to them all. We are not a protest movement. We are a team united in service to our country. That is what sets us apart.
The support you’ve given us as a member has helped us make our case to the country in the past.

We need to take our message beyond the Conference hall. We must sell it on the doorsteps, front pages, and social media feeds of millions across the country.
