The appointment of Peter Mandelson as Ambassador to the United States strikes at the very core of Keir Starmer’s deeply flawed judgment.
Yesterday the Conservatives forced Labour into another U-turn. After initially trying to cover it up, Starmer has committed to releasing the Mandelson-Epstein files.
These files will clarify who in No. 10 knew what, and when, about Mandelson’s connections to the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein at the time of the appointment.
We are forcing the truth to come out, and someone will be held to account for this grotesque failure of the victims and of our country.
