Conservatives win first step in protecting kids online

Last night Conservatives in the House of Lords won the first step in our plan to protect our kids online. Requiring social media platforms to prevent those aged under 16 from accessing their services.

Backed by health professionals, teachers, police chiefs, campaigners, parents and even some young people we’re taking the no nonsense approach needed to keep our kids safe online.

We do not need more evidence or more consultations. Labour has once again chosen delay over action to protect our children. delay over action.

Once again, Keir Starmer is kicking the can down to avoid protecting our children.

Last night he ordered Labour peers to vote down our amendment, and we can expect fierce resistance where he has a supermajority.

So it’s vital we bring as much pressure to bear on the government as possible, to force another U-turn.
