Conservatives Publish “Get Britain Drilling” Bill

Britain has the highest electricity prices in the world. Stifling economic growth and deindustrialising our country.  

And Ed Miliband’s plans to shut down our energy supplies is completely out of touch with reality.  

Instead of limiting our energy supply, we must make the most of our natural resources in the North Sea and get Britain drilling.  

That’s why we’ve published our “Get Britain Drilling Now” Bill to:

• Reduce legal obstacles to approving new oil and gas projects in the UK. Ending the constant use of lawfare to block drilling.
• Increase private investment in oil and gas extraction. Generating billions of pounds in tax revenue, to reduce the tax burden and ease the cost of living.
• Secure cheap and reliable energy for the long term, supporting families and businesses. Providing the power to get Britain working again.

We need to take the steps to get Britain drilling as soon as possible.  

A strong economy relies on cheap, abundant energy. Only the Conservatives are serious about creating a stronger economy and a stronger country.
