Conservatives Post Strong Local Election Results

In the 2026 local elections the Conservative Party delivered strong results across the country.

In London we took Westminster Council after four years of Labour Control. We held Bexley, Bromley, Hillingdon, Kensington and Chelsea. And Jason Perry was re-elected as Mayor of Croydon. We also smashed Labour in Harrow with a landslide victory, and stopped Labour from getting a majority in Barnet, Enfield, Croydon and Wandsworth.

Outside of London we held onto councils in Harlow, Broxbourne and Fareham. And we increased our representation in Swindon, Trafford, Milton Keynes and Bradford.

These results are a testament to the hard work local councillors, candidates, activists and MPs have put into delivering for their area.

We will continue to rebuild our party and fight for families who are struggling under this Labour Government.

Every council we run is somewhere we can keep taxes down for hardworking families, deliver better schools for our children, fix more potholes, keep our streets safe and clean, and stand up to Keir Starmer on behalf of local residents.
