The Conservative Party has been fighting against the Chagos Surrender Deal since Starmer announced it.
This deal would give away strategically vital British territory and cost taxpayers £35 billion.
Following extensive fighting by Conservative peers in the House of Lords, Keir Starmer has now “paused” his Chagos surrender.
Let's hope the pause is indefinite.
We will continue to pressure the government to scrap this deal entirely, because our national security should always come first.
