An exciting opportunity has arisen at Conservative Campaign Headquarters for a Voluntary Party Manager to work within a support role in the Organisation Department. You will be part of a small team operating across the country.  

 Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Regional officers, Area teams, National Convention officers and individual Associations.
  • Providing advice and support to Area Campaign Managers and voluntary officers on matters relating to the Constitution, the voluntary party, and the selection of local government candidates.
  • Running or assisting with the promotion of organisational projects.
  • Organising and providing training to officers and activists in relation to their roles and responsibilities including the production of briefing and training materials.
  • Assisting with the organisation of Regional conferences
  • Keeping up to date with legislation relating to election law and compliance

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience of the Party organisation at grassroots level
  • A good understanding of the Party Constitution
  • Aptitude as a self-starter with the ability to take the initiative
  • The ability to multi-task and run projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
  • The ability to work unsupervised and collaboratively in a team
  • A commitment to the aims and values of the Conservative Party

 The role can at times involve travel to different parts of the country and will often entail evening and weekend work and occasional overnight stays.
