We are seeking to appoint an experienced receptionist who will be required to provide the day-to-day running of the reception area and general administration support for the various departments at Conservative Campaign Headquarters.

 This is an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional organization skills that is hardworking, has a willingness to learn and go the extra mile. A professional and personable manner is necessary.

 The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator; professional and well presented. You must have relevant experience in reception in a busy environment.

 Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Meet and greet visitors to ensure they have signed in and feel welcome
  • Provide a professional approach to all incoming calls and re-directing messages
  • Update calendars and book meeting rooms
  • Dealing with reception email requests
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate office and person
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Control access via the reception desk (monitor the logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties to support the wider business

It would be an advantage to have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of running a busy reception desk
  • Confident and assertive
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to adapt to change according to requirements at the time
  • Polite, immaculately presented and helpful
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a good telephone manner
  • A fast learner with an ability to multi-task
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Can work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Able to remain confidential and discrete at all times
  • Self- motivated with a good use of initiative
  • Confident acting as the first point of contact for the organisation
