Head of Training

The Head of Training will demonstrate strong consultative, relationship building and influencing skills and will be effective at establishing and developing relationships with others.

This hands-on role will require you to be able to lead on both operational and strategic tasks and apply strong leadership skills to foster talent on the team.

This person will report to the Training and Development Director and manage a team. 

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of all training content across the organisation, including developing new content and materials
  • Liaising with external providers on course requirements and content
  • Develop, motivate and retain the team

 

Person Specification

  • A strong background in L&D
  • Demonstrable experience of design of employee training in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop high quality online training content
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong project and change management experience
  • Solution focused, hands-on and a willingness to get things done
  • Can influence and add value at a senior level whilst adapting appropriate influencing techniques
  • An ability to track multiple projects and tasks in a timely manner
  • A thorough understanding of learning principles and effective training methodologies

 

Desirable

  • CIPD or LPI membership is preferred, but not essential
