CCA Member Engagement Officer


The successful applicant will report to the Conservative Councillors’ Association.  This role will assist in providing key services to CCA members and administrative support to the CCA and Local Government teams.

Our ideal candidate will be able to manage many competing priorities, and work well under pressure within a fast paced political environment.  The successful candidate will be a first class organiser with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with both members of the Party and the public.

To succeed in this role you will also need to be self-motivated, conscientious, and an all-round hands-on team player.  The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, purposeful sense of initiative, and great attention to detail.

Detailed responsibility:

  • CCA member communications
  • Updating the CCA websites
  • Updating and writing CCA publications
  • Writing CCA local campaign pack
  • Assisting with events and organising smaller events
  • Supporting member services
  • Managing the CCA’s social media presence

Skills required: 

  • Strong IT skills 
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills 
  • A ‘can do’ flexible professional approach 
  • the ability to build excellent working relationships across the Party and motivate volunteers 
  • A commitment to the values of the Conservative Party 

    Experience preferred but not essential:

  • Using a mass mailing system e.g. mail chimp or similar
  • Writing text for publications, website and advertising emails
  • InDesign
  • Updating a website/html experience
