Jennifer Melle is an NHS nurse with an unblemished record over her 12 years of service. She has dedicated her career to caring for people.

Almost two years ago, whilst treating a transgender male patient who is a convicted paedophile, she was subjected to a vile torrent of racial abuse and violent threats.

This was because she ‘misgendered’ the patient by using male pronouns when discussing his medical needs with a doctor.

Despite being the victim, Jennifer was investigated by her NHS Trust and given a written warning for not respecting the patient’s gender identity.

Now the Trust are taking disciplinary action against Jennifer for talking to the media about how they treated her.

Jennifer, a single mother, could lose her job at her disciplinary hearing on Tuesday. We only have a short amount of time to save her career and her livelihood.
