I’ve lived and worked in Cheshire all my life and it’s an honour to serve as MP for the Weaver Vale constituency.
My first job was stacking shelves at the local supermarket. I then enrolled at night school as a mature student and gained a business degree, which enabled me to get a career in manufacturing. I’ve also served for four years as a Special Constable with Cheshire Police.
I believe that my background and life experience gives me insight into what residents in our constituency care about.
In the Quieter M56 campaign, I worked with local residents for a new road surface to cut noise pollution for those living near the motorway.I also run an annual jobs fair to help local people find work and get on in life. I was once unemployed myself and know how hard it is.
In the months ahead of the next election, I’ll continue to listen to local people and be a strong, hardworking voice for our area.
