Crispin’s primary focus for Reigate is the protection of the Greenbelt. Crispin pledged this when he was first selected to fight the seat in 1997 and it remains his principle objective.
Crispin has recently fought to achieve crucial Greenbelt protections within the local authority’s Core Strategy, and has successfully challenged the plan for a hard runway at the Redhill Aerodrome which would have damaged the natural environment. Crispin has also recently successfully pressed for more schools places across Reigate, and with the support of local residents and Councillors, achieved key improvements to the major road network in the north of his constituency.
He also continues to support the great strides being made by East Surrey Hospital. Crispin’s priorities for the next parliament are to keep up his work to protect Reigate’s Greenbelt, to press for yet more school places, and to continue to fight for a fairer deal for Reigate in all national funding formulae.
