I come from a background of public service. My dad’s an NHS doctor and my mum’s a pharmacist. This shaped the person I am today and the MP I will be for my constituents.
As an MP, I will improve our children’s education and skills. Everyone deserves access to a great education, regardless of their background.
I served as a primary school governor for several years, and I will use that experience to make sure that Hitchin and Harpenden’s future generations prosper.
Helping people into work is another passion of mine. Having volunteered for charities that help people return to work, I will use that experience in our community.
I have met with all the primary and secondary school heads in the constituency, as well as with colleges, apprenticeship-providers and small businesses – so I know what their needs are and can start to address them.
