Jamie McGrigor, 58, has been as a regional MSP for the Highlands & Islands since 1999 and is currently Shadow Minister for Communities & Sport and the Scottish Conservative member on the Parliament's Standards Committee.
Jamie lives in Argyll and is married with six children.
He has a wide experience of countryside issues having farmed sheep and cattle for over 30 years and he also pioneered a trout farm in Argyll. He has also worked in the financial and shipping sectors. He is also Chairman of the Loch Awe Improvement Association.
In May 2010, he was appointed Shadow Environment Minister.
