Fiona Hodgson

Fiona was elected a Vice President of the National Convention in 2009.   She is also the President of the Conservative Women's Organisation.

She joined the Conservative Women's Organisation (CWO) in 1992 and was Chairman from 2005-2008. She is also a member of the Conservative Human Rights Commission and continues to help run the CWO Muslim Group which she set up.

During her time as Chairman of CWO, Fiona worked hard on taking forward David Cameron's agenda of reaching out by refocusing the organisation so that it connected with a much wider audience than it had previously done so thus.

Her working background is in market research and small businesses. She has held a number of public appointments and worked voluntarily in the areas of health and animal welfare.

Fiona continues to work on women's issues especially in the context of developing and conflict countries. She is a member of the APG on Women, Peace and Security, Chairman of the Trustees of GAPS (Gender Action in Peace and Security), is a member of Oxfam's Association, a member of the Leadership Circle of Women for Women and on the Advisory Board of WPD (Widows for Peace through Democracy).

Fiona is married to Robin, who is a Conservative working peer in the House of Lords, and they have 4 children.
