Chris lives in Warwick and now works locally in public relations, having previously worked at Longbridge for MG Rover. He stood for Warwick and Leamington at the 2005 General Election, narrowly missing out on a seat at Westminster by just 266 votes. Chris was re-selected as Warwick and Leamington’s Parliamentary Candidate in February 2007 and was elected to Warwick District Council the following May. He is actively involved in the local community, serving as a Governor of Myton School and as a Trustee of both Victim Support and the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs.
Chris says: “Our local area has a lot to be proud of, and I will be working hard to make Warwick and Leamington an even better place to live and work. I want to help to improve everyone’s quality of life – through campaigning for better and more local public services, an NHS run for patients not politicians, and a cleaner, greener environment. I want a fairer deal for our older people, better opportunities for our children and more police to help keep our streets safe. Warwick and Leamington is a wonderful place to live – but it could be so much better.”
