Berry Jake

Jake was educated at Liverpool College, followed by the University of Sheffield, and trained as a solicitor in the City of London.

Before entering politics, Jake specialised in Housing and Development Law. This valuable experience has enabled him to effectively champion affordable housing and the Construction Sector within the House of Commons.

Jake lives with his wife Charlotte and standard poodle Lola.

Jake Berry's Experience

Jake has spoken in Parliament on the subjects of industry, skilled apprentices and Postal Services Reform.

He is Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt Hon. Grant Shapps MP, Minister for Housing and Local Government.

Jake has fought two local elections as a candidate in Liverpool and Manchester.  Jake was also the Election Agent for the Liverpool City Seats Initiative in the 2005 General Election.

Campaigning in Rossendale and Darwen

Since being elected as a Member of Parliament in 2010, Jake has backed the business sector and works with regional authorities to secure regeneration of town centres. He ensures voices of local business leaders are heard within the policy making process.

Jake has campaigned on behalf of local people and business on a diverse range of issues including supporting local shops and post offices and the introduction of new transport links to the area.

He holds six advice surgeries a month in both Darwen and Rossendale.
