Robert Loughenbury selected as Conservative candidate for Chorley

Saturday, February 23 2013

Rob Loughenbury

Chorley Conservatives have selected Rob Loughenbury as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the 2015 General Election.

Rob is 30 and is married with two children. He’s an experienced school governor and a keen amateur rugby player. While studying for his PhD, Rob worked as an academic at Durham University. Recently he accepted a job in Manchester in development.

A longstanding Conservative activist and former agent Rob is now looking forward to getting stuck into the campaign to take Chorley for the Conservatives at the 2015 General Election.

Rob said: “I am excited to have been selected and grateful for the support of local members. This week I plan to start knocking on doors to listen to the concerns of residents and I look forward to working closely with local people in coming years.

Like so many others, I know how hard it is to save a deposit for a first home. I know how hard it is for working people to raise a young family at the moment. I get it, and I want to do something about it, which is why I am standing for Chorley.”
