North East Derbyshire Conservatives have selected Lee Rowley as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the 2015 General Election.
Lee's family has lived in North Derbyshire for 300 years. Born in Hasland, Lee was head boy at his local school before working in his family's small business for almost twenty years. He is currently a Senior Manager in a large European company, as well as serving as a Westminster councillor since 2006. For two years, he worked with the Centre for Social Justice think tank, contributing to the 2007 Breakthrough Britain report. Lee has also served on the local boards of a housing organisation and an environmental charity.
Lee has been involved with the Conservatives for over a decade, and is committed to showing local residents that Conservative values are the ones to build a better North East Derbyshire and a better Britain. If elected, he promises to protect local communities against over-development, protect local post offices and services, and reform welfare to ensure people play by the rules.
