Fall in love all over again this Conference

Tuesday, February 14 2012

Sayeeda Warsi

The co-Chairmen of the Conservative party have introduced new rates that are set to halve the cost of getting to conference in 2012.

The announcement, which comes as registration opens for the event in Birmingham, will allow members to get to Party conference for under £300 this year.

In a Valentine's Day email to members, Lord Feldman and Baroness Warsi invited members to 'fall in love all over again' at the event, to be held from 7th-10th October.

The Chairmen said they had listened to the requests of members concerned by the cost of attending conference.  'We agree that we should go the extra mile to show much we care for our Members. And like all good relationships: we have listened to you.

'Last year, we heard a lot of concerns about the high cost of Party Conference. People said - rightly - that it was costing ordinary Members too much to come spend quality time with the Party.

'So this year, we're doing everything we can to bring the cost down for Birmingham 2012.'

Incentives for members include special deals with hotels, discounts on Conference passes and reduced rates on local travel around Birmingham. The Chairmen also launched a new Final Day pass for Members, with discounts for delegates in association with Chiltern Rail.
