Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party Sayeeda Warsi has sent her best wishes to those celebrating Christmas in her end of year message this week.
Baroness Warsi said:
'The end of 2011 is near, and it's been a great year of campaigns for the Conservative Party.
'Along with our victory in the AV referendum, we surpassed all expectations in the local elections. As Party Chairman, it was fantastic seeing the whole Party pull together to get out the vote and support the important work of the government in these tough economic times.
'After a long year, I know that everyone here is looking forward to some time out over the Christmas holidays. Christmas is a time for loved ones - and one thing I'm really looking forward to is having some time to relax with my family.
'But Christmas it is also a time for reflection, and as we enjoy our break, we can think back on the past year. The world has changed so much in these twelve months - the Arab Spring being just one of the many events that has shaped 2011 and made it an extraordinary year.
