The local candidate Mark Bowen today welcomed the Prime Minister and Leader of the Conservative Party to the Feltham and Heston constituency he is fighting to represent.
David Cameron then took part in a 'Cameron Direct' on the DHL Express factory floor. Around 250 DHL staff gathered at midday to put questions to the Prime Minister, on topics ranging from apprenticeships to the price of petrol to the economy and the Eurozone.
With just a week to go before polling day David Cameron was one of three Conservative Ministers campaigning in the constituency today.
The Prime Minister, David Cameron, said:
"Mark is a great local campaigner and would make a fantastic MP for Feltham and Heston. He lives in the seat with his wife and children and has an excellent track record as a councillor in the Feltham North ward. I'm sure he would bring the same energy and commitment to the job of MP.
"I wish him every success in this by-election and I know that the Conservatives will be fighting hard for each vote right across the constituency."
