Co-Chaiman of the Conservative Party and Minister without Portfolio Sayeeda Warsi has sent a message to those celebrating Eid ul Adha this week.
Sayeeda Warsi said:
'I want to send my very best wishes to everyone here in Britain and across the world celebrating Eid ul Adha.
'Eid ul Adha is a time where families and friends come together in celebration of sacrifice and selflessness. It is a time for giving and sharing.
'The festival marks the completion of the Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah, and I was proud to perform Hajj last year.
'Eid allows us to reflect and think about those less fortunate than ourselves and encourages charity. The values of the festival are relevant to us all.
'I hope Eid ul Adha brings peace and happiness to everyone here in Britain and abroad.
'Eid Mubarak.'
