Thursday, September 29 2011

Prime Minister David Cameron

The Prime Minister David Cameron and Co-Chairmen of the Conservative Party Sayeeda Warsi and Andrew Feldman have joined to send greetings to all those across the country celebrating Rosh Hashanah.

Prime Minister David Cameron said: 'I'd like to wish everyone in the Jewish Community here in Britain and around the world a Shanah Tovah.

'I know this is a time when many of you will be reflecting on the past year and looking to the challenges ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the tremendous contribution your community has made to this country and continues to make each year. I wish you all a happy and peaceful Rosh Hashanah.'

Sayeeda Warsi said: 'The enduring traditions of Rosh Hashanah remind us of the deep values of faith and family that strengthen our nation and help guide us each day. The Conservative Party sends its best wishes for a happy Rosh Hashanah and shanah tovah'.
