David Cameron has given a speech at the Conservative Party's spring conference - the last before the General Election - setting out his vision for Britain.

Speaking without notes to supporters in Brighton, he explained why the coming election was a chance to vote for change - not five more years of Gordon Brown's tired government making things worse.

In calling on supporters to "win it for Britain", he outlined his vision of a country that feels like a community with a Conservative Government on the side of those who do the right thing.

On the economy he spelt out the need to act sooner and quicker than Labour on the deficit. On the society he set out the radical nature of our education reforms – how we will improve all schools so every parent can send their child to a good school.

On the family he emphasised once more that we want Britain to be "the most family-friendly country in Europe", including a commitment to recognise marriage in the tax system. And on politics he set out the need for radical policies to restore trust in the political system and give more power to people.
