The appointment of a new, full-time Director of Compliance at the Conservative Party demonstrates commitment to sound finances.

In the current climate, it's important that politicians and political parties set a positive example in managing their financial affairs legally and ethically.

That's why the Conservative Party is further strengthening its Compliance Team by developing its most senior Compliance role from a three days per week role to a five days per week role.

The Party has announced that Simon Day has been appointed to this crucial full-time role of Director of Compliance. Day was until recently a Risk & Advisory Services Partner at BDO Stoy Hayward.

The Party will also be continuing to work with Hugh Thomas to ensure that his skills are not lost to the Party at this important time.
