David Cameron has sent his best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
"Britain’s Muslim communities have enriched our society immensely", he said.
"This is an important time for fellowship and for reflecting on our responsibilities to our friends, families and wider society", he said, adding that this was in line "with the origins of the festival as a time of sacrifice".
"I would like to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families at this time".
He also noted that it is also an occasion to consider all those involved in the Hajj, "an important event for the whole community".
David was elected Leader of the Conservatives in December 2005, on a mandate to change the Party and change the country.
