Results from Thursday's Local Elections will be coming in throughout the day.
We will be bringing you the news as we receive it on our website - and we'll also be sending out the results via Twitter.

The major results so far:
- Our candidate, Linda Arkley, won the North Tyneside mayoral election, gaining nearly 4,500 votes more than her opponent, the incumbent mayor
- We gained control of Lancashire County Council, which has been held by Labour for 28 years
- We won Derbyshire County Council, controlled by Labour since 1981
- We gained Staffordshire County Council from Labour, the first time we've controlled it since 1977

We won Devon County Council from the Lib Dems, the first time we've held it since 1989

We gained Somerset County Council from the Lib Dems
- We won Nottinghamshire County Council
- We gained overall control of Warwickshire County Council

We won Central Bedfordshire Council (a new unitary authority)

We held Lincolnshire, Hertforshire and Dorset Councils
