Job vacancies

Brandon Lewis Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Great Yarmouth has written to the Government ' s Finance secretary to plea for the decision on Havenbridge House to be reversed.

Brandon Lewis has publicly criticised the Governments withdrawal from Great Yarmouth, and is hopping that they will change their mind,  given the overwhelming local support for the 130 jobs to stay in Great Yarmouth.

Brandon Lewis, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Great Yarmouth said:

"The Government has failed to show a logical reason for closing the Great Yarmouth office and the long term loss of local jobs will have a detrimental effect on the area. I have written to the Labour Minister in overall charge of this issue and hope that we can get some cross party support, to keep theses jobs in Great Yarmouth."

And he stressed, "In a time of financial uncertainty it seems illogical for the government to spend millions relocating offices, when the offices in Great Yarmouth are more than sufficient. It goes to show that this Labour Government does not have the interests of Great Yarmouth at heart."
