David Cameron has accused Labour of having “maxed out our nation’s credit card” and warned that Gordon Brown's plans to borrow more money could lead to higher taxes in the long run.
He stressed, “We need to get a grip, be responsible and help families now in a way that doesn’t cost us our future.”
Writing in the News of the World, David outlined the policies a Conservative Government would introduce to help Britain’s families and businesses:
He stressed that the Conservatives are on people’s side, not in their wallets – and he said:
“Lower taxes are in my DNA — it’s one of the reasons I came into politics. I know it’s your money and I know you want some of it back. And I want to give it to you.”
David was elected Leader of the Conservatives in December 2005 and appointed Prime Minister in May 2010.
