Edward Timpson, the new MP for Crewe and Nantwich, has taken his seat in the House of Commons.
He said it was a “great honour” to be able to represent Crewe and Nantwich at Westminster:
“I am committed to working for all the people of Crewe and Nantwich and look forward to fighting on their behalf in Parliament.”
He said he felt a huge “sense of dignity” on taking his seat, but stressed, “The hard work starts now.”
Edward won last month’s by-election by over 7,000 votes, on a swing of 17.6%.
